Smart metering solutions

Sentec provides patented metrology solutions focussed on achieving low costs at high volumes for gas (Lattice), water (Sterling) and electricity (Mobius).  Our world class patented metrology solutions are proven building blocks for smart meters and can be easily incorporated into new designs without any specialist knowledge of metrology.

We have solutions for smart metering in all sectors:

Lattice: a solid state gas flow sensor that provides a low cost platform for integrating smart metering functions such as AMR or AMM

Sterling: the ideal basis for a cost effective and high performance smart water meter

Mobius: highly compact, highly accurate and immune to tampering, Mobius current sensors can easily and quickly be turned into cost effective metering platforms.

Coracle: a cost effective system for identifying the energy costs of consumers' appliances, measured from a single point

Smart metering experience

Based on many years of activity in the smart metering industry, Sentec has developed technologies which facilitate class leading smart metering performance while allowing design reuse, both within meter families as new variants of products are needed, and across multiple utility sectors.

This allows smart meter system providers to evolve their offering rapidly and successfully to meet the requirements of a market that is rapidly driving down design times while requiring ever higher levels of functionality.

A roadmap of smart metering development

To date, four million smart meters based on Sentec technologies have been installed at competitive prices and to meet the changing requirements of the market the company has evolved a clear roadmap that will continue to add value to smart meter metrology solutions over the next three years.
